After the first coat of HD varnish, the floor can be walked on after 6-8 hours, but it reaches full strength after 7-10 days. Hard wax oil dries faster, walking is possible after 24 hours, and it can bear full load after 3-5 days. During this time, we do not recommend placing furniture on rubber mats.

It depends on the wood thickness. Traditional strip flooring is 22 mm thick with a groove, such parquet can be sanded 5 to 7 times over its entire lifespan. Thinner modern parquet (10-15 mm) has more limited sanding potential. We will always assess the condition during our inspection and tell you honestly whether sanding makes sense.

Our sanders are equipped with industrial HEPA class extractors. Dust is extracted directly at the source, at the sander. Fine dust from corners and skirting boards (where we use a smaller vibratory sander) is captured by separate extraction. This does not mean absolute zero dust, but it is so little that people can remain in the flat while work proceeds. Move furniture 1 m away from the room edges.

For a 3+1 apartment with a floor area of approximately 70-80 m² featuring wooden flooring in good condition, complete renovation (sanding + filling + HD lacquer) costs approximately 30 000 - 40 000 Kč. A standard apartment (60-100 m²) can be completed in 2-3 working days, sanding, filling, varnishing. However, you must allow for drying time (see the section on varnish). The overall schedule from start to furniture installation is typically 5-7 days. For larger areas or specific surfaces (oil with multiple layers, whitewashing) it may take longer.

Varnish forms a protective layer over the wood. It is more resistant to water and chemicals, available in glossy or matte finishes, and easier for daily maintenance. Hard wax oil, on the other hand, penetrates into the wood and nourishes it from within: the floor breathes, has a more natural appearance, and is easier to repair locally. Oil requires occasional renewal (once every 2-3 years in heavily used rooms). Families with young children tend to choose oil, while offices and rental properties prefer varnish.

Yes. We provide a written warranty for the work performed. The warranty covers the result of the work (lacquer adhesion, evenness of sanding) for 24 months. Manufacturer warranties apply to materials used (varnishes and oils from reputable brands). The warranty does not cover natural wood behaviour, seasonal movements caused primarily by changes in humidity.

Yes. Dust-free technology is suitable for apartment blocks as it minimises the spread of dust into common areas. We will adjust the schedule so that grinding does not take place at weekends or during night hours. Upon request, we will issue documentation for the work to the building's owners' association. A standard requirement of the building's owners' association is working during business hours Monday to Friday: this we routinely comply with.
